Coach Sarah found her love for the water here at Hampshire Hills as a member back in the early 2000’s. She later joined the Milford Keyes Swim Team and swam competitively with them for 6 summers, after which she joined the Milford High School team. Sarah was a backstroker and butterflier, most notable for her graceful technique.
With professional aquatics experience dating back to 2011, Sarah has dedicated her career to water safety and aquatic fitness. Whether you’re 7 years old or 70 years old, you’ll find that Sarah has a true passion for helping beginners of all ages - her teaching style emphasizes patience, clear technique instruction, and building confidence step by step.
Sarah prioritizes celebrating small victories that lead to big progress. Her goal is to make each practice positive, encouraging, and skill-focused while helping swimmers develop a lifelong love for the water.
Jim is excited to be back at Hampshire Hills coaching. He began swimming at age 15 in Florida, competing through high school and college before moving into coaching.
Jim started coaching in the Florida Panhandle after earning his Red Cross WSI certification and was soon coaching club swimmers. In 1982, he became head coach of the Cordova Park Swim Team, leading them to a Pensacola City Championship.
Since then, he has coached in Georgia, New Jersey, and New Hampshire. Jim joined Hampshire Hills in 1984 and became head coach in 1985, helping lead the team to a GSSA Division 2 State Championship.
After all these years, he still loves being on deck and working with all swimmers.
