General Information
LOCKER ROOMS & RESTROOMS
Swimmers should arrive dressed and ready to swim 5 minutes prior to the start of their practice time. There will be a port-o-potty at the Outdoor Pool for use during practice times. In the event that this restroom becomes unavailable, swimmers may be sent one at a time to the Indoor Pool restroom and will be expected to be mindful of any programming taking place there. Swimmers wishing to use the indoor restrooms and family locker rooms after practice must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian at all times while inside the building. Adult locker rooms are off limits to non-members and those under the age of 18.
TRANSITION TIMES
Regardless of membership status, all Hampshire Hills Swim Team participants & families are expected to adhere to all club safety rules and remain respectful of the facility, its members, and its staff before, during, and after all practices and meets. HHST swimmers & families are also expected to maintain this level of respect and understanding of safety at all GSSA swim meets. The behavior of HHST swimmers & families is a direct reflection of Hampshire Hills Athletic Club - repeated safety or policy infractions may result in subsequent suspension from the team . **See Junior Code of Conduct.
Swimmers are expected to be off deck promptly after practice ends and clear of the facility within 20 minutes.
MEET EXPECTATIONS
In the interest of good sportsmanship and continued team-building, it is expected that you remain at each swim meet until all swimmers have finished their events.
HHST will participate in at least 5 swim meets over the course of our 6-week season. Swimmers are required to attend at least two practices during the week in order to participate in the swim meet taking place that weekend. Any expected absences should be reported to Coach Sarah by the end of practice on Thursday. Swimmers must participate in at least two meets in order to qualify for the GSSA State Meet. Siblings may opt to attend different meets.
